New Beginnings

This week I have taken the plunge...I resigned from my job. I worked full time and then a few years ago I went part time. I worked with the h.s.e. for 15 years as a dental nurse. I really loved my job but it was getting too busy here at T.T to continue as I was working all the time and not taking any days off. This is a decision I did not take lightly. Alot of people thought  I was mad, giving up my job in a recession, a civil service job!!! to paint plaques and pictures. But Tinythings had become more than just painting.

The painting is the easy part. Ordering stock, sending emails, dispatching & packing orders, sourcing new stock, constantly coming up with new designs and doing my accounts every month..So, the juggling act of running T.T, trying to spend time with my family and working as a dental nurse all took its toll on me. Also, turning 40 made me think about what is important in life and how I have to take care of ME!! I feel as tough a weight has been lifted off me now I have officially resigned from my permanent pensionable job. I have big plans for Tinythings now I have more time. It is the end of one chapter of my life and the beginning of a new and very exciting one..Hopefully, this will give me time to update my blog more often xxx
